Til Schweiger’s latest film, the heartfelt and touching yet funny drama LIEBER KURT celebrated its international premiere at the 18th Zurich Film Festival on September 29. The Gala Premiere was be attended by co-stars Franziska Machens and Til Schweiger who also produced and directed the movie.

 

LIEBER KURT tells the story of Lena and her two Kurts, “Big Kurt” and “Little Kurt”. Lena and Kurt move to the countryside to be near Kurt’s six-year-old son, Little Kurt of of whom he shares custody with his ex-wife. While the patchwork family is still busy sprucing up their new home, a tragedy changes everything: Little Kurt dies in an accident. Seized by profound grief, Kurt and Lena must find a way to process the loss together and overcome their misfortune. Based on the bestseller by Sarah Kuttner, Til Schweiger's LIEBER KURT shows how love can help conquer grief. Franziska Machens, Jasmin Gerat, Peter Simonischek and Heiner Lauterbach shine alongside Til.

 

Worldwide sales of the film are handled by A Company and its long-time collaborator, Los Angeles based worldwide sales agent Storyboard Media. The two companies are behind the successful international distribution of films like the German horror movie Heilstätten and the British indie horror Lair.
